Who we are
We are a Mechanical, Fabric, Electrical and Air Conditioning organisation that offer bespoke project and design solutions for installations. We also undertake repairs, reactive works as well as building maintenance programmes to customers in London and the surrounding counties.

At Apsley Technical Services Limited, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our web site. We do not sell, rent or trade email lists with companies or individuals for marketing purposes. Our customers are key to our success and our ethic of old fashioned values and trust is underpinned by our focus for building strong working relationships that are built on trust and a knowledge that our attitude to doing things right is always followed.

This Privacy Policy provides information on when and why we collect personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

Types of data we collect

Cookies and Tracking

In order to improve the overall experience of visiting our website, we use a server-based log to collect anonymous information about our website visitors. This data is only used to generate statistical charts and will not be used in any other way.

Use of cookies on our website

By using this site, you have given us consent to use cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer when you visit a website. They are mainly used as a way of improving the website functionalities or to provide more advanced statistical data.

Contact Information

Our web sites invites you to send Apsley Technical Services your contact details and the nature of your enquiry so that we may see if we can provide assistance or carry out work for your organisation. Your contact details are used by Apsley Technical Services as follows:

To initially make contact so that we may assist you.

If potential work is established we would use your contact details to send a draft proposal of works for your consideration. Should you choose not to pursue your line of enquiry, your company information will remain in the ‘quotes section’ of our bespoke operating system (IBMS). After such time, if the work is not undertaken or further contact is made, then after seven years the information is deleted.

New customers who have engaged us to carry out works are entered onto our operating system (IBMS) for future contact. Should we receive notification that no further work will be carried out, they will be marked as ‘inactive’ and will not be visible to the authorised personnel using the day to day operating system. After seven years the information is deleted.

New suppliers who we have approved account facilities with, are entered onto our operating system (IBMS) for the raising of purchase orders and any enquiries we might have.

Sub-contractors that are used by Apsley Technical Services provide their work contact details so that we may contact them only for work related matters. They are entered onto our bespoke internal system. A review is undertaken every two years of all subcontractors. If no work is undertaken they are marked ‘inactive’ and deleted after seven years.

No personal information will be provided to any third party, except of course in the unusual event should we be required to do so by law. We do not hold personal information, with the exception of employees, on any other individuals working for an organisation. We only record work contact information such as email, mobile and office telephone numbers. This information is not provided to any third party that work outside the organisation. We will only pass on contact information if there is a requirement to do so, that relates to a particular piece of work we are undertaking, that a supplier / sub-contractor / customer has advised on.
Whilst we take all reasonable precautions to protect any personal data users may input via this website we cannot be responsible for and therefore exclude all liability for loss or misuse of personal data which is intercepted or otherwise accessed by unauthorised persons.
We comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and its requirements.

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data and have the right to amend or delete the data.

Banking information

For all our suppliers and sub-contractors, it is necessary to hold company bank account information so that we may reimburse them for the products / services they provide. We do not impart this information to any third parties. It is retained on our internal operating system (IBMS). This area of information is password protected and accessed only by authorised personnel. The bank account details are also placed on our bank account on line facility and can only be accessed by the Managing Director and Business Support Manager using the banks secure protocols. The process and codes for this are only known by these individuals. No banking information is provided to any third parties.

Consent

By working with Apsley Technical Services, you consent for us to use your information in the ways we have explained. Under the GDPR, you as the data subject, have the right to access, amend or withdraw consent for us to hold your data at any time. You do not have to offer a reason for this. Once we have received notice from you to withdraw consent to hold your data, your details will be removed from our system within seven days. Sharing Information

The information that we share with suppliers and sub-contractors will only be relevant site information and location for deliveries and work to be carried out. Any specific site security details will not be shared. Only those authorised employees who have knowledge of the GDPR guidelines and who have completed our GDPR confidentiality requirements will have more in depth knowledge regarding these matters. Should Sub Contractors visit our secure sites, they will also have completed our GDPR confidentiality requirement.

Any security site access information is kept electronically and is password protected. Authorised personnel only have access to this. These are:

  • Managing Director
  • Operations Director
  • Business Support Manager

Company equipment:
All company issued mobile phones that also use our operating system are password protected for security.
All company laptops issued have password protection in place.
Our IBMS system, Word, Excel, Outlook are all stored in the cloud via a Microsoft storage facility.

Changes to this Privacy Notice

The GDPR Policy will be reviewed yearly in the Month of May, by Apsley Technical Services Limited and any changes to the Privacy Notice will be updated accordingly and placed on our website.
